Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting needs
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control practices
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and family members
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through respectful, person-centered interactions
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- Local candidates only (Scarborough area) as noted in the assignment details
- Ability to work scheduled days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 6:45 AM - 3:00 PM
- Flexible, team-oriented attitude and a caring approach to resident needs
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program (implied by CNA credential)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and basic nursing support
- Strong communication and teamwork with nursing staff
- Knowledge of safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Awareness of infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Reliable documentation and attention to detail
