Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
Support safe mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
Help with meal assistance, feeding, and documentation of intake as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities to support emotional well-being

Qualifications

GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
Current state registration or certification as required by Maryland
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Demonstrated ability to provide respectful, patient-centered care to older adults
Comfortable working the listed day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) when scheduled
Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic understanding of geriatric care principles and elder needs
Skillful in ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
Strong teamwork, patience, and a calm, compassionate approach
