Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients in the ICU setting
• Deliver evidence-based respiratory therapies and support patient respiratory needs throughout the night shift
• Float between like units as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Support department policies on callouts, make-up shifts, and staffing expectations

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an RRT (ICU experience preferred)
• Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult ICU patients
• Must be available for night shifts, every-other-weekend coverage, and observed holidays
• Pending licenses are not accepted; active, unrestricted respiratory therapist licensure required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Education

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• RRT credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care respiratory assessment and intervention skills
• Familiarity with ICU workflows and caring for both pediatric and adult populations
• Proficient with Epic electronic charting
• Able to adapt to night shift dynamics and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable floating between like units to meet patient and facility needs
• Reliable weekend and holiday coverage availability
