Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility and safe transfers to promote independence and reduce fall risk
• Follow care plans and contribute observations that help tailor resident care
• Perform infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate compassionately with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete required documentation and competency checks in a timely manner
• Participate in facility-specific training such as Trinity competency testing to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state-appropriate) and willingness to verify licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as part of onboarding
• Ability and willingness to complete health requirements: fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, respirator evaluation, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, and influenza vaccine
• Pass required license/certificate verification and background screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident-centered care and empathy for older adults
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe transfers, ADL assistance
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use including respirator protocols
• Clear written and verbal communication for accurate documentation and team handoffs
• Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
• Comfort with facility-specific electronic documentation and competency testing
