Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment and perform high-quality CT examinations in an emergency department setting
- Perform emergency department X-rays accurately and efficiently to support rapid patient care
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe scanning environment for patients and staff
- Document procedures and patient data promptly and accurately in Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the ED team to prioritize urgent imaging needs
- Maintain equipment awareness and report issues to ensure reliable imaging services
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- SCRQSA certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiology and CT experience (emergency department experience preferred)
- Comfortable working three 12-hour shifts per week, including holidays
- Experience with GE Revolution Maxima CT and GE Tempo RAD unit and documentation in Meditech preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and emergency radiology workflows
- Radiation safety and dose optimization practices
- Proficiency with GE Revolution Maxima CT and GE Tempo RAD unit
- Experience using Meditech for documentation and image tracking
- Excellent patient positioning and trauma imaging skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ED environment and prioritize urgent studies
