Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and manage ventilators for patients from neonate through adult with precision and care
- Deliver high-flow therapy, nebulizer treatments, Nitric Oxide and Flolan therapy safely
- Provide noninvasive support including BiPAP and Bubble CPAP and monitor effectiveness
- Perform and interpret EKGs and assist critical care teams in ER/CCU and NICU situations
- Respond to emergent respiratory needs across units — be the calm, skilled presence on the floor
- Document treatments and patient responses clearly to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement and unit initiatives to continually raise the bar
Qualifications
- CRT or RRT required (credentialed respiratory therapist)
- BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience with ventilator management and bedside care
- Experience across ER/CCU and NICU or Level 2 settings preferred — neonate through adult care
- Ability to meet Alaska facility requirements and obtain any necessary state licensure
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate's or higher preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and ventilator set-up (neonate through adult)
- High Flow therapy and Neonatal Hi Flow experience
- Nebulizer treatments and airway management
- Nitric Oxide and Flolan therapy administration
- BiPAP, Bubble CPAP management and non-invasive ventilation
- Ability to perform and interpret EKGs
- Comfort working across ER/CCU/NICU and floating to cover all units
- Strong critical thinking, patient assessment and communication skills
