Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Provide attentive, respectful bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of North Carolina
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility; strong attention to detail
- Friendly, patient-centered attitude and good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
- Measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork in a clinical setting
