Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, observations, and changes in condition accurately
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort and safety
- Document care and communicate updates clearly with nurses and the interdisciplinary team
- Support infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Ability to reliably work the evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role including lifting, bending, and standing for shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with documenting care and following care plans
- Infection control awareness and attention to safety procedures
- Teamwork, time management, and effective communication
