Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3x12: Day 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM and Night 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM; schedule includes every-other-weekend coverage (Day and Night rotations as scheduled)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing care across units to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Oversee bed management and patient flow to optimize capacity in a Critical Access hospital
- Serve as charge nurse/house supervisor: triage escalations, lead rapid response and code management
- Cover meals and breaks across MedSurg, ICU and ED as needed to maintain adequate staffing
- Facilitate admissions, post-surgery and post-procedure care and transfers to higher level facilities
- Monitor and report sentinel events and support compliance with regulatory standards (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
- Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff and support a positive patient experience
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage facility/bed diversion and ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (ED or critical care experience required)
- Previous House Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience preferred
- BLS required; PALS preferred
- Comfortable floating to MedSurg, ICU and ED and covering meals/breaks as needed
- Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
- Willingness to work every other weekend
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Epic charting experience
- Supervising nursing care and charge nurse duties
- Bed management and patient flow coordination
- Inpatient acute care and emergency care skills
- Rapid Response Team and code management experience
- Infection control and isolation procedures
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements: DPH, TJC, OSHA
- Customer service and sentinel event monitoring/reporting
