Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality sonographic exams including abdomen, breast, DVT, and OB studies
• Provide compassionate patient care across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric patients
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality and accuracy
• Document exam findings and enter studies into PACS/DICOM systems per facility protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the imaging team to support timely patient care
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards at all times
• Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to integrate smoothly with the team
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures and ensure comfort

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of ultrasound/sonography experience (required)
• Active ARDMS (or RDCS) certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License (temporary license options available with equivalent state license)
• High proficiency in abdominal, breast, DVT, and OB ultrasound (required)
• Experience with all patient age groups: pediatric through geriatric (required)
• Travel ultrasound experience of at least 6 months (required)
• Valid driver’s license (unrestricted) and must have own vehicle (non-negotiable)
• Permanent address listed in profile and any/requested RTO provided at submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy and imaging protocols
• Proficiency in optimizing ultrasound image quality and documentation
• Comfortable performing vascular and DVT assessments (vascular preferred)
• Familiarity with PACS/DICOM workflows and clinical reporting
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner across age groups
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Attention to detail for accurate exam capture and record-keeping
• Understanding of safety, infection control, and professional standards
