Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them thoroughly
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the RN and care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists and other staff to deliver coordinated care
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges while maintaining clear documentation
• Maintain infection control practices and adhere to facility safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with residents and families to address questions and concerns

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — current and in good standing
• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable providing care on overnight shifts and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and documentation standards

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic clinical assessment skills
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Basic wound care and pressure injury prevention knowledge
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety principles
