Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week) with call rotation; exact start/end times vary by unit schedule (day and night rotations)

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care for patients of all ages across all acuity levels
- Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator strategies for critically ill patients
- Perform respiratory diagnostic procedures and assessments to guide treatment plans
- Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory support with expertise and compassion
- Participate in unit call rotation and respond promptly to emergent respiratory needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize cardiopulmonary care and patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment use
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — must be RRT; CRT candidates will not be considered
- Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
- Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP (all required)
- Proven critical care and mechanical ventilation experience
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory experience required
- Ability to participate in call rotation and adapt to rotating schedules
- Flu vaccine required (per facility policy)
Education
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (as required for RRT credentialing)
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
- Cardiopulmonary assessment and diagnostic procedures
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory interventions and equipment
- Critical care protocols, airway management and emergency response
- Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort with on-call responsibilities and fast-paced acute care environments
