Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 08:30 AM - 07:00 PM (Day, 4x10s) or Monday-Friday, 5x8s Days (times vary) — No weekends or holidays

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate outpatient oncology nursing care for adults and geriatrics in a medical oncology solid tumors and palliative care setting
- Review treatment plans thoroughly to ensure safe, accurate ambulatory care
- Perform telephone triage with clarity and calm, guiding patients and caregivers effectively
- Coordinate with pharmacies, placing calls and verifying orders to support timely medication access
- Use Epic Beacon for accurate charting and to manage patient treatment documentation
- Conduct distress screening and escalate needs to the interdisciplinary team to support whole-person care
- Float between clinics as needed to maintain smooth operations and continuity of care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years oncology nursing experience in ambulatory or outpatient settings
- OCN preferred; ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification is a hard requirement if SCREEN is not present
- BLS required
- Demonstrated Epic (Beacon) charting experience
- Experience with telephone triage and reviewing treatment plans
- Travel nursing experience required — no first-time travelers will be accepted
- Port access experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of oncology nursing principles, especially medical oncology for solid tumors
- Experience with palliative care approaches in an outpatient clinic
- Proficiency in Epic Beacon and ambulatory charting workflows
- Skilled at telephone triage, clinical decision-making, and patient education
- Comfortable coordinating with pharmacies and managing treatment logistics
- Ability to perform distress screening and know when to engage the care team
