Shift Type: One week per month (7 consecutive days) — rotating 7-day coverage; days and times vary with on-call coverage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient neurology and neurohospitalist care across all adult floors
- Manage ICU patients including mechanical ventilation and complex critical care needs
- Perform and interpret EEGs, EMGs, and evoked potentials; conduct brain death exams when required
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues and interpret EKGs and radiologic exams
- Handle admissions and ED consults, prioritizing timely, evidence-based decisions
- Document all patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate plans clearly with the care team
- Collaborate closely with APPs and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Provide reliable on-call coverage during assigned weeks and escalate care as needed
Qualifications
- MD or DO (Physician) — licensed or eligible for licensure in Ohio
- Strong experience in inpatient neurology and neurohospitalist care, including ICU management
- Demonstrated ability to perform EEG, EMG, evoked potentials, and brain death exams
- Comfortable managing mechanical ventilation and acute neurologic/neurocritical conditions
- Proficient with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with APPs and hospital teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Inpatient Neurology and Neurohospitalist care
- Critical care and ICU management, including mechanical ventilation
- EEG, EMG, evoked potentials, and brain death exam proficiency
- Dysphagia screening and management of acute neurologic conditions
- Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- EKG and radiologic exam interpretation
- Experience providing ED coverage, admissions, and on-call services
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
