Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct and indirect nursing care to post-acute and long-term residents
• Administer IV therapy and perform wound care with attention to best practices
• Conduct geriatric assessments and develop tailored care plans
• Support residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s using verbal and non-verbal techniques
• Collaborate with rehabilitation teams for patients recovering from surgery, stroke, and other short-term needs
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote a therapeutic environment
• Float to other units as needed to ensure continuous, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active State of Maine RN license or Compact RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
• 1-3 years of RN experience preferred, ideally in long-term care or post-acute settings
• Experience with IV therapy, wound care, geriatric assessment, and dementia care is a strong plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work night shift hours and flexibility to cover varying schedules and float between units
