Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Typical coverage blocks Friday through the following Monday morning (overnight on-call coverage). From May–July expect 10–15 days/month covering clinic, scheduled surgeries and call; long-term vision (starting late July) is call-only coverage ~10 days/month (Friday → Monday morning). Shift type: overnight on-call with daytime clinic/surgery responsibilities on coverage days (exact start/end times vary by assignment).

Candidate Pay Rate: $315 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clinic-based urology care including evaluation and management of outpatient patients
• Perform required procedures such as cystoscopy and cystoscopy with dilation
• Cover on-call responsibilities (pager coverage, triage, callbacks and emergent care) during assigned call blocks
• Participate in scheduled surgeries and handle 3–4 surgical cases when on surgery days
• Round on post-op patients and take inpatient consults when assigned day call
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and coordinate care with RN and CNA support staff
• Collaborate with the permanent provider to ensure continuity of care and smooth handoffs

Qualifications

• MD (physician) required — will be credentialed for facility privileges
• Urology experience with ability to perform cystoscopy, dilation and routine urologic procedures
• Current North Dakota medical license (or ability to obtain ND license) and active DEA license
• Completed credentialing application and case logs ready for review (credentialing timeframe ~90 days)
• Comfort working in EPIC for documentation and order management
• Ability to manage on-call triage, callbacks (typically 1–5 callback hours) and emergent consults
• Professional, team-oriented communication skills to work with clinic and perioperative staff

Education

• MD or DO (physician) — Urology specialty or equivalent urology practice experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cystoscopy and dilation techniques
• Experience with outpatient urology clinic workflows and perioperative care
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record
• Strong triage and on-call decision-making skills
• Ability to manage scheduled surgeries and respond to emergent cases
• Clear communicator comfortable coordinating with nursing and support staff
