Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (scheduled by facility; specific days vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, treating each person with respect and dignity
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) to promote comfort and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans and rehabilitation goals
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and uphold infection control and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and assisting with ADLs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Completion of an approved GNA or nursing assistant program; high school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and geriatric care principles
- Skilled in safe resident handling, transfers, and fall prevention techniques
- Basic vital sign assessment and recognition of common geriatric changes
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort residents and communicate with families
