Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
- Observe and report changes in physical or emotional condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and pressure injuries
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent outcomes
- Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or state-recognized Geriatric Nursing Assistant credential
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to elder care
- Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including lifting and assisting with mobility
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork and resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, and safe transfer techniques
- Familiarity with long-term care or rehabilitation environments
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
