Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Lanham, MD
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, days to be confirmed (Evening shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Support rehabilitation activities under the guidance of therapists and nursing staff
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to the clinical team
- Provide compassionate, dignified care that promotes independence and comfort
- Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience or training in geriatric care and rehabilitation preferred
- Able to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward older adults
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Basic patient transfer and safe mobility techniques
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic charting
- Infection control and resident safety awareness
- Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize care tasks
