Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians by preparing patients and equipment for outpatient orthopedic evaluations and treatments.
• Apply splints, casts, and other immobilization devices under clinician direction, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Document patient encounters and treatment details in EPIC accurately and promptly.
• Maintain clinic supplies, sterilize and organize instruments, and help keep treatment rooms ready.
• Educate patients on device care, follow-up instructions, and basic home safety in a clear, compassionate way.
• Collaborate with front desk staff, PT/OT colleagues, and providers to maintain smooth clinic flow.
• Be ready to float to nearby locations on a rare basis to support clinic needs.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required — this is a must-have.
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred and required per posting.
• Experience with EPIC charting highly desirable.
• Comfortable working a consistent day shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM).
• Locals and travelers welcome; first-time travelers accepted.
• Pending state license is not accepted — active license per state requirements is expected.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of outpatient orthopedic procedures, splinting, and casting techniques.
• Proficiency with EPIC or other electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation.
• Excellent patient communication and teaching skills for clear home-care instructions.
• Ability to maintain equipment, manage supplies, and follow infection control practices.
• Dependable team player who can occasionally float to nearby clinics (Tarzana, Mission Hills).
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to support efficient clinic operations.
