Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with orthopedic assessments, treatments, and durable medical equipment fitting
• Apply and remove casts and splints, and provide patient education on home care and safety
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately using EPIC
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain infection control and clinical supplies
• Coordinate patient flow and follow-up care between the Tarzana and Mission Hills locations when covering
• Communicate clearly with patients and multidisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification — required (candidate MUST be certified through NBCOT)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (outpatient experience required)
• Proven experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Comfortable floating between clinic locations (Tarzana base with Mission Hills coverage as needed)
• First-time travelers accepted; locals also welcome
• Pending state licenses are not accepted for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong outpatient orthopedic clinical skills (casting, splinting, braces, equipment fitting)
• Proficient in EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinic and adapt when floating between sites
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and interdisciplinary coordination
