Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead clinical shifts by coordinating care, delegating tasks, and guiding the team during busy outpatient operations
• Perform and document patient assessments, vital signs, and focused clinical observations to support provider decision-making
• Administer immunizations, injections, oral medications, and provide safe medication reconciliation
• Obtain and prepare lab specimens through phlebotomy and manage specimen logistics for timely pick-up
• Start and maintain IVs and provide IV therapy per scope and certification
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs and provide cardiac monitoring with prompt escalation when needed
• Deliver wound care and assist with specialty procedures, ensuring best-practice documentation in Epic/CS Link
• Handle clinic telephone triage and coordinate follow-up with providers to keep patients informed and safe
• Step in to cover MA duties for breaks or unexpected absences to maintain continuity of care
• Perform and record QC testing on designated equipment to maintain clinical quality standards

Qualifications

• Active CA LVN license in good standing
• BLS (AHA or ARC) required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions/declinations accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Urgent Care or ER experience
• Minimum 2 years of overall outpatient experience
• Phlebotomy certification and IV certification required
• Previous charge/lead experience preferred
• Experience charting in Epic and/or CS Link
• Preferred: 3+ years in Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or ER

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing (LVN) program or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Epic charting and CS Link workflows
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV starts, and specimen handling
• Strong patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration skills
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKGs and performing cardiac monitoring
• Competent in wound care and basic orthopedics support
• Comfortable with vaccine administration and injection techniques
• Effective telephone triage and clear communication with providers and patients
• Ability to mentor peers and perform shift lead responsibilities
