Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid, accurate patient assessments and triage to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and handoffs
• Demonstrate competency through required exams and skills checklists
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and immunization/testing requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure verified via Nursys
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as listed
• DCI/BVP certification as listed
• Completion of required screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hep B, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza)
• Successful completion of required competency exams and skills checklists

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in an ED environment
• Basic pharmacology knowledge and safe medication administration
• Ability to perform emergency nursing procedures and monitor critically ill patients
• Effective communication and teamwork under high-acuity conditions
• Comfort with priority-driven documentation and electronic health records
