Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic exams using standard XR techniques and equipment
• Operate imaging equipment safely and follow radiation safety protocols
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and ensure correct imaging procedures are followed
• Complete Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist as part of credentialing
• Maintain accurate records and assist with license/certificate verification processes
• Follow infection control and departmental policies, including vaccine and screening requirements
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to ensure comfort and diagnostic quality
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate technical problems when needed

Qualifications

• Previous XR Tech experience required
• DCI/BVP certification (as listed in the order) required
• License/Certificate Verification will be completed — valid radiology credential(s) required
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist
• Must meet health requirements: drug screening (10-panel), TB screening, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, fit test as listed
• Comfort working nights and independently during off-peak hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and quality control
• Familiarity with image acquisition, PACS/EMR workflows, and documentation best practices
• Excellent patient care skills for diverse and sometimes high-acuity populations
• Good communication and teamwork during night operations
• Detail-oriented approach to licensing, credential checks, and compliance tasks
