Roles & Responsibilities

• Support robotic-assisted surgical cases with precision and confidence
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical robotics instrumentation
• Prepare and organize sterile instruments and trays for orthopedic and neurosurgery cases
• Anticipate surgeon needs and deliver instruments and supplies promptly
• Maintain strict sterile technique and OR safety standards for every case
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and nursing to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in call rotations and be ready to support urgent operative needs
• Complete required competency testing and documentation to ensure readiness for specialty cases

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Proven proficiency in surgical robotics, with experience in orthopedic and neurosurgery cases
• Willingness and ability to participate in call coverage
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing (or willing to complete)
• Valid license/certification verification as required by facility
• Able to pass Fit Test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, required immunizations, and foundational health checks

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of surgical robotics systems and instrumentation
• Deep familiarity with orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures and workflows
• Strong sterile technique and OR infection control practices
• Excellent situational awareness and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
• Clear, calm communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
• Competency with perioperative documentation and basic EMR interactions
• Ability to learn facility-specific protocols and specialty competency testing requirements
