Shift Type: Flexible day shifts: 2-5 days/week (4-hour, 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts; start/end times vary) OR Week On/Week Off schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; optional Saturday, 4-hour shift (time varies). Day shift / flexible schedule

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered 100% outpatient rheumatology care at the BVHS Wellness Park
- Create and personalize your clinical schedule to balance work and life
- Select and manage your preferred patient mix and age groups to focus your practice
- Collaborate closely with a full complement of medical and surgical specialties to coordinate care
- Participate in weekly on-site CME and Mayo Clinic Care Network programs to stay current
- Leverage Mayo Clinic eConsults, eBoards and AskMayoExpert to enhance clinical decision-making
- Work within a care team model, mentoring APP trainees and medical students when desired
- Drive practice improvements and help shape clinic operations with meaningful autonomy
Qualifications
- MD or DO (Outpatient Rheumatologist) — listed in the posting as MD/DO
- Comfortable delivering 100% outpatient rheumatology care and customizing clinic workflows
- Experience or willingness to use Cerner EMR (Cerner integrated across settings)
- Interest in participating in Mayo Clinic programs and on-site CME
- Enjoy working in a care team model with collaborative staff
- Optional: enthusiasm for teaching medical students and APP trainees
- Not open to visa candidates (no sponsorship) and not accepting Locum tenens providers
Education
- MD or DO (as specified in the job posting)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong rheumatology clinical knowledge for outpatient management
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and electronic clinical tools
- Comfort using Mayo Clinic eConsults/eBoards/AskMayoExpert resources
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to design clinic schedules and exercise practice autonomy
- Capability to mentor trainees and contribute to educational programs
- Familiarity with care-team models and productivity measures (e.g., wRVU concepts) — optional
