Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for the Enhanced Outpatient Program
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and security staff to develop individualized treatment plans
• Lead clinical decision-making during patient rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and medication changes clearly and on time
• Participate in orientation and training related to the EOP to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, completed psychiatry residency
• Active California medical license OR clear eligibility to obtain one promptly
• Board certification or board-eligible in Psychiatry preferred
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry or correctional/forensic mental health settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• MD or DO in Psychiatry (completed residency)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in psychiatric assessment and psychopharmacology
• Familiarity with outpatient and enhanced outpatient program workflows
• Ability to manage complex cases and coordinate care across teams
• Knowledge of documentation standards and compliance in clinical settings
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations
