Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, promoting dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Support nursing staff with safe transfers, positioning, and ADL assistance
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team and families
• Follow infection control policies and contribute to a safe, clean environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (Vermont or New Hampshire license appropriate for the facility)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB test, immunizations)
• Comfort working 12-hour day shifts and following a rotating two-week schedule
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but enthusiastic learners are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills with compassion and attention to detail
• Comfortable taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, and observing/reporting clinical changes
• Effective communication and teamwork with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic charting/documentation skills and adherence to facility policies
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a busy shift
