Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered occupational therapy interventions in an outpatient setting to help patients regain independence
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist, documenting progress clearly and timely
• Use therapeutic activities and adaptive equipment to improve activities of daily living and functional goals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity for each patient
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, and community resources
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification and active credentialing
• State licensure or ability to obtain Utah COTA licensure (licensure assistance may be available)
• Minimum clinical experience in outpatient therapy preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused, collaborative attitude

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or equivalent and COTA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in outpatient occupational therapy modalities and functional treatment approaches
• Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic health records
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and activity analysis
• Ability to develop and follow measurable goals and outcome-driven plans
• Good time management and caseload prioritization in an outpatient clinic
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team education
