Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients, monitoring and responding to changing clinical conditions
• Assess patients regularly, interpret hemodynamic data, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, manage drips and ventilators, and perform complex nursing procedures safely and confidently
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Participate in unit huddles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (Nursys verification capability)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications or ability to obtain per facility policy
• Meet facility health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing or documented TB status
• Successful completion of required pre-employment screenings: 10-panel drug screen, fit test, and any Prime competency exams
• Prior ICU/critical care experience preferred and a strong desire to work in high-acuity environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment skills including interpretation of arterial lines, central lines, and invasive monitoring
• Experience with ventilator management and titration of vasoactive medications
• Ability to perform urgent interventions calmly and efficiently
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Good time management, prioritization, and documentation skills
