Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to acute patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes promptly
• Utilize EPIC to document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and efficiently
• Apply ACLS and BLS protocols when critical situations arise to support positive patient outcomes
• Perform NIHSS assessments for stroke-related presentations and collaborate with the care team on treatment plans
• Float throughout the assigned 60-mile zone as needed, adapting to new units and patient populations with professionalism
• Participate in orientation and unit training to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams and patients' families to coordinate safe, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ability to submit license for consideration is required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry/acute care preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and floating within a 60-mile zone
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Acute care nursing best practices
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
• Cardiac life support skills (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Stroke assessment knowledge (NIHSS)
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork in float-pool environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
