Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; days and specific start/end times to be confirmed (shift type: TBD)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $38 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and daily support to residents
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and responses
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver great care
Educate patients and families about treatments and care plans
Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and accurate charting

Qualifications

Valid LPN license in Connecticut (required)
Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Previous LPN experience preferred, especially in long-term care
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
Infection control standards and safety procedures
Time management, prioritization, and delegation
Compassionate, resident-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
