Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure charting completeness
• Respond effectively to changes in patient status and emergent situations
• Support unit operations by assisting with admissions, discharges, and smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) - core requirement for this role
• Med/Surg experience preferred and reflected in core skills
• Authorized to practice nursing in Georgia (licensure requirements to be confirmed during hiring)
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, evidence-based patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding and competency checks

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) - completion of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Clinical assessment and patient observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting workflows
• Prioritization, time management, and delegation in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
