Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night rotations). Exact start/end times and weekly schedule to be provided by facility; shift type: rotating 12-hour

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based med/surg nursing care to adults across the unit
Assess patients’ conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and transitions
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (or compact RN eligible)
Current BLS certification; ACLS and other certifications a plus
Clinical experience or familiarity with medical/surgical patient care
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
Professionalism, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid med/surg clinical knowledge including post-op and complex medical conditions
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care skills
Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Excellent prioritization and time-management in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative teamwork and effective communication with patients and staff
