Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
Assess, monitor and document patient condition including vital signs and telemetry
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain clinical excellence
Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide education and support

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (KY or applicable compact licensure)
Experience or interest in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Ability to complete facility orientation and required onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
IV therapy and safe medication administration
Patient assessment and care planning
Accurate clinical documentation and communication
Teamwork, critical thinking and time management
