Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy care for ortho, neuro, and geriatric patients
• Assess and treat post-operative patients (TKA, THA, RCR, spinal surgeries, ACL, arthroscopies)
• Design and implement individualized plans for balance, gait training, and deconditioning
• Deliver evidence-based neurorehabilitation for CVA, Parkinson's, TBI and related diagnoses
• Document thorough, timely charting in the required charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, mobility aids, and safe functional mobility

Qualifications

• Previous outpatient or acute care physical therapy experience preferred (1 year preferred, will consider less)
• Experience with post-operative orthopedic care and neurologic conditions
• Proficiency with required charting system (charting/documentation is required)
• BLS certification preferred
• Spanish speaking preferred but not required
• Comfort working with mobility aids and prosthetics (walkers, crutches, slings, prosthetics)

Knowledge & Skills

• Outpatient Physical Therapy and general hospital outpatient care
• Post-operative rehabilitation for TKA, THA, RCR, spinal surgeries, ACL and arthroscopy
• Neurologic rehabilitation including post-stroke, Parkinson's, TBI
• Balance and gait training, fall risk assessment and interventions
• Familiarity with mobility devices: rolling walkers, standard walkers, crutches, gait belts, prosthetics
• Strong documentation/charting skills and patient education
