Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days and nights (exact start/end times vary) — Med/Surg unit
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
- Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicating changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment and discharge plans
- Support efficient, safe patient throughput and transition of care
- Participate in unit quality improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (Louisiana) or compact RN license as applicable
- Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; new grads with Med/Surg clinical exposure encouraged to apply
- BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills
- Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Teamwork, adaptability and patient advocacy mindset
