Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a 40-bed PCU
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate cardiac drips like Heparin and Nitro
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support unit acuity
Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Proven competency in arterial line management
Experience with titratable drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin)
Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and medical-surgical nursing skills
Ability to manage high-acuity patients with complex diagnoses
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with vein finders, bladder scanners, and patient experience initiatives
