Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the operating room for a variety of general surgery procedures
Prepare the OR environment, instruments, and supplies to ensure a safe, efficient case
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and the perioperative team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during the perioperative period
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards
Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous improvement of OR processes

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain AZ licensure)
Minimum perioperative experience preferred (OR exposure is a strong plus)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, CNOR) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing principles
Familiarity with common surgical instruments, supplies, and sterilization practices
Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and think ahead during procedures
Proficient in documentation and electronic medical record use
Calm under pressure with strong prioritization and time-management skills
