Shift Type: Variable 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays as needed. Every other weekend required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem as needed
• Monitor hemodynamic status including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed to support the team
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and ensure compliance with patient safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/MedSurg or oncology experience
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
• Chemotherapy certification is mandatory
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Driver's license required to verify location (must live outside 50 miles from facility)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, etc.)
• Experience with ventilator management and EPIC EMR
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
