Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, self-scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from total joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder, ankle) and spinal surgeries
Monitor patient vitals, administer medications and IV therapies, and manage pain control
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery and home care
Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed, maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Ortho nursing experience
Willingness to take a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation (90% required to pass)
Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong team orientation and willingness to help teammates
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take ownership and show initiative in patient care
Excellent communication and patient education skills
