Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend, every other major holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Take charge of the unit, providing leadership and guidance to the care team
Administer medications accurately and safely to residents
Perform wound care and monitor healing progress
Assess and manage residents with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT and social workers
Document care and communicate effectively with physicians on-call after hours

Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Dakota or compact state required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of experience in Long Term Care, skilled nursing, or similar setting
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend
Comfortable acting as charge nurse and passing medications

Knowledge & Skills

Charge nurse experience and leadership abilities
Proficiency in medication administration and wound care
Familiarity with EMR systems, including Matrix
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of common geriatric diagnoses and care plans
