Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Assess, monitor, and respond to complex changes in patient condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment and monitors
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery goals
Document care clearly and thoroughly in the patient record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
ICU experience and comfort with critically ill adult patients
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or able to obtain
Critical care certifications such as CCRN are a plus
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to unit scheduling needs
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Assessment and management of critically ill patients
Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Ventilator management fundamentals
Safe medication administration in critical care settings
Effective interdisciplinary communication and care coordination
Prior experience with hospital EMR systems and accurate documentation
