Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide rapid, high-quality assessment and triage for emergency department patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and act quickly on abnormalities
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and the ED team to coordinate patient care
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record and maintain clear communication with families
• Participate in unit-based competencies, skills checks, and ongoing education to maintain clinical excellence
• Support patient flow by prioritizing tasks and advocating for timely disposition

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification
• Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience in an Emergency Department
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• DCI/BVP completion and successful Prime checklist/test completions as listed
• Two professional references required
• Ability to pass required drug screen, immunizations, fit test, and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Rhythm interpretation and basic cardiac management
• Familiarity with Prime Basic Pharmacology and related competency exams
• Experience with ED workflows, critical thinking under pressure, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documentation best practices
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
