Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess adult patients and develop individualized outpatient treatment plans focused on orthopedic and post-operative rehabilitation
• Deliver evidence-based care for conditions like total joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, ACL injuries, fractures and more
• Provide hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise progression, and patient education to maximize recovery and function
• Document patient encounters accurately in NextGen/ShiftWise Flex and ensure compliant billing and case management communication
• Collaborate with the clinic team and referring providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Perform fall risk assessments and implement prevention strategies to keep patients safe at home and in the community

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Mississippi, or eligible for licensure
• BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• 1+ years experience preferred working with adults in outpatient orthopedics — new grads considered
• Comfortable using ShiftWise Flex and NextGen case management (familiarity is a plus)
• Strong documentation skills and understanding of outpatient billing practices
• Professional, business-casual appearance (polo and khaki-style pants required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and treatment planning for adult outpatient populations
• Orthopedic care: post-operative rehabilitation, total joint replacement rehab, rotator cuff and meniscus care
• Neurological rehabilitation basics (e.g., degenerative diseases, Parkinson’s disease)
• Fall risk assessment and prevention strategies
• Outpatient documentation and billing workflows (NextGen/ShiftWise Flex familiarity helpful)
• Excellent communication, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
