Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with individualized physical therapy programs
• Use the Electronic Medical Record to document evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Communicate clearly with physicians, co-workers, and patients to coordinate care
• Provide hands-on assistance with patient transfers, mobility, and gait safety
• Ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and assist with PT billing processes
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies to protect patient privacy and safety
• Participate in marketing and referral activities to support clinic growth
• Make independent clinical decisions to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice or plan to test soon
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records, documentation, and ICD-10 coding
• Familiarity with PT billing practices (Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens)
• Supervisory experience with PTAs/Aides is a plus
• Basic computer skills: typing, Word, Internet and EMR navigation

• Degree in Physical Therapy

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning expertise
• Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy best practices
• Competence in ICD-10 diagnostic coding and billing workflow
• Hands-on skills for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Good communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort supervising and mentoring support staff
