Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality evaluation and treatment for patients in a rehab/contract setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans that move patients toward functional goals
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document progress accurately and communicate updates with the care team and families
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safe mobility techniques
• Support a positive patient experience by bringing energy, empathy, and clinical expertise

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California or eligible for California licensure
• Doctorate or degree in Physical Therapy (DPT, MPT, or equivalent) preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working in a rehab/contract environment and floating between sites
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; patient-focused approach
• Previous experience in outpatient or post-acute rehab settings is a plus

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluation and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Proficient with mobility training, transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercise
• Familiarity with documentation systems and outcomes measurement
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to achieve measurable functional improvements
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient education abilities

This is a contract assignment in the Carmichael/Sacramento area. Enjoy easy access to the American River Parkway for biking and scenic walks, nearby Lake Natoma and Folsom Lake for water activities, and charming Old Sacramento with restaurants, history, and riverfront trails. Weekend escapes to Sonoma/Napa wine country or the Sierra Nevada for hiking and skiing are within a couple hours.
