Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations and design individualized treatment plans
• Deliver high-quality rehabilitative treatments across acute care and inpatient rehab
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech to ensure continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with PTAs, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining patient-centered care
• Adapt and float between units as patient needs require, bringing versatility to the team
• Educate patients and families on recovery goals, safety and home program strategies

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license (able to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 6 months in the last year — ideally 1 year experience in the PT field
• Experience with patient evaluations and treatments in acute care and/or inpatient rehab
• Comfort using EMR systems, specifically Meditech
• Ability to collaborate with PTAs and interdisciplinary care teams
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) and current immunizations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in physical therapy evaluations and therapeutic interventions
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and inpatient rehabilitation processes
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation and electronic charting
• Comfort treating diverse patient populations including NICU, ICU and ortho cases
• Ability to prioritize, triage and manage multiple patient evaluations per shift
• Excellent communication, teamwork and adaptability when floating between units
