Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility and bedside care to keep patients comfortable
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and timely in patient charts
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (or active CNA) in Maryland required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved GNA program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation accuracy
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Reliable time management and ability to prioritize tasks on shift
