Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic mammography services including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast needle localization, and specimen radiography
• Operate CT equipment and assist with CT/interventional procedures, including preparation and contrast administration protocols
• Apply radiation protection principles and maintain departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC checks
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging files, and quality control documentation
• Provide compassionate patient care across the lifespan and safely transfer patients as needed
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and equipment care to keep the department running smoothly
• Actively pursue required CEUs and maintain competency in ancillary modalities as assigned
• Serve in a leadership capacity in the absence of a supervisor and perform ancillary duties as requested

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modalities (mammography and CT required)
• Familiarity with stereotactic breast biopsy, specimen radiography, and breast needle localization
• Competence with venipuncture, sterile technique, and teleradiology transmission
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and travel between SEARHC sites as needed
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultural and age groups

Education

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography required (no specific degree stated in posting)
